Street Light Automation

Street Light Automation

The Automated Street Lighting System is designed for the intelligent control of street lights along roads or paths, including residential outdoor lighting. It is programmed to automatically activate at dusk or under dark weather conditions and deactivate after sunrise or during daylight hours.

This system contributes significantly to energy conservation by reducing electricity usage. Additionally, it enhances safety by mitigating the risk of accidents, thereby safeguarding pedestrians and preventing potential mishaps.

At the core of its functionality is a Light-Dependent Resistor (LDR) that continuously monitors ambient light intensity. This data is transmitted to a cloud-based platform via an IoT WiFi module, which processes the information and controls the LED lighting accordingly. The system offers flexibility, allowing for the option of preset timing schedules in addition to its sunlight-dependent operation.
